Novatium is looking for a Infrastructure Procurement Specialist for a big agricultural company.
Role:
This role will work as part of our global team in performing procurement and asset management tasks for IT infrastructure. Location is RETIRO. The primary tasks performed by this role will be
- Work with Engineers to verify infrastructure hardware/software requirements
- Create Service requests for the Software Asset Management team for approval
- Work with the Project Managers and cost center owners on approvals
- Work with Cost Center Owners on capital versus expense categorization and for billing
- Follow detailed instructions to input purchase order requests in the customer Procurement tools
- Track all orders within Excel and Procurement SharePoint site
- Provide Purchasing Department with supporting documents
- Input Configuration data into a Remedy CMDB
- Validate orders that were placed and have been received
- Obtain quotes from vendors as needed, based on engineering hardware requirements
Skills
• Procurement experience (relating to IT infrastructure hardware/software)
• General knowledge of infrastructure hardware/software (e.g. servers, tape drives, storage arrays, Windows, UNIX, Linux, iSeries, SAN)
• Experience working with IT hardware vendors such as Dell, IBM, EMC, etc.
• Capability to work as part of a global team effectively via phone and web conferences
• Customer service skills
• Microsoft Office and SharePoint skills
• Able to follow written instructions
• Detail oriented, attention for quality
• Good people communication
• Remedy ITSM experience (Incident, Change, and Configuration Management)
