Duties and Responsibilities:
Operating within an International matrix organisation the successful candidate will need to develop effective working relationships with HR Country Managers, HR Business Partners and the wider HR team.
Key activities are:
•Member of Canada and Latin America(CLA) HR Service Delivery team and the wider AT&T HR team
•Responsible for HR Country Operations in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay
•Second point of contact for managers and local employees on Terms &Conditions(T&C) issues
•Act as interface for local T&C’s and processes for international HR
•Responsible for payroll process and coordination for Argentina, Chile and Uruguay
•Responsible for personnel administration including medical exam coordination, licenses, employee accident insurance, vacation administration and other administrational support required for Argentina, Chile and Uruguay
•Responsible for employee onboarding activities and coordination.
•Provide support to local HR Country Managers and Business Managers with new hires and termination / resignation activities
•Maintain and keep local personnel and other HR files up to date
•Benefit administration: tracking of changes in relevant databases, filing, benefit enrolment, process Purchase Orders, benefit renewal, control benefit invoices
•Local legislation compliance, ensuring record keeping with regards to work and compensation, health and medical insurance, employee contracts, employee legally required enrolments, and other required state and government regulations.
•Raise awareness of HR country specific issues to the International HR Team
•Support administrational processes in other countries if assigned
•Work on international projects when they occur
•Data reporting
Experience and Personal Skills:
•Excellent English skills - both spoken and business written
•Preferable 2 years experience gained within a HR function
•Undergraduate or Graduate work in HR and/or Business Administration preferable
•Knowledge of Argentina, Chile and Uruguay labour law
•Excellent communication skills
•Self confident, knowledgeable and pragmatic
•Stress resistant, able to work with strict deadlines
•Able to dig into the details but at the same time capable of differentiating essential versus non essential details
•Administrative skills, data handling and reporting
•Very well organized, very structured in how work is handled
•Self sufficient, independent, pro-active: able to work in a remote management environment with limited supervision, able to pick up the phone and discuss topics in international environment
•Change orientated and able to manage conflict resolution at a certain complexity
•Solid experience with MS Office.
•Project Management Skills would be advantageous
•Ideally - experienced in working and understanding the complexities of operating in an international environment
