The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts payable and receivable sub-ledgers and monthly account reconciliations utilizing specific computer software are key components of this position.
• Process vendor and supplier invoices, in a timely manner, verifying accuracy, approvals and account coding. Interact with Vendors and respond to vendor inquiries as required.
• Keep updated Customer- all payment records and claim payments in order to keep up to date Customer accounts. Respond to client or payer account inquiries as required.
• Reconciles simple bank statements, the company credit card accounts or department records.
• Assist with monthly budget preparation as required.

Skills and Experience

- You need to be able to make phone calls and write e-mails in English and Spanish
- You will be requested to join a conference call and go over a a presentation or report and speak fluently in English and Spanish.
- You will be working in Excel for many hours a week so you need to manage it fairly well.
- You need to apply only if you are very detailed oriented.
- There will pressure and deadlines, you need to have the ability to work quickly and efficiently under deadline pressure
- You will be reminding us which things are pending and will know what to do next.
- You will be required to come to the office every day and arrive to the office at 9am most of the days
- You need to enjoy accounting and finance

- Apply if you just graduated from university or if you are just missing one or two years to graduate, do not apply if you only took a few subjetcs
- You can also apply if you have a few years of experience working in accounting indepedent of having a formal degree.
