Purpose & general responsibilities of the position:


Ensure DAMCO is always well positioned in the market.
Maintain, develop new business and secure new and lost customers.
Deliver sales targets.
Commercial visits to new and existing accounts.
Support efficiently and effectively sales activities.
Promote DAMCO within the market.

Specific responsibilities of the position:

Maintain, develop new business and secure new and lost customers.
Follow strategy by contacting and securing new, actual and lost accounts
Secure FCL/LCL Export and Import cargo with 3rd party carriers and co-loaders
Develop Land Side Services activities within the ocean - air activities portfolio.
Work closely with Manager to identify customers and opportunities in the market.
Maintain updated client’s contracts and other agreements
Establish strong relationship with back up carriers.
Deliver sales targets
As per objectives set up deliver expected volume and profitability.
Target the right customers.
Cooperate to deliver department budget.
Work closely with Manager to calculate and propose sales targets.
Commercial visits to new and existing accounts.
Regular weekly visits to new accounts to achieve and existing ones.
Attend and support sales visits updating customers’ database if available.
Support efficiently and effectively sales activities.
Provide sales forecast, plans and feedback.
Best practice sharing information among the sales team and also ISF to support each other.
Keep updated key objectives established together with the team and managers.
Weekly and monthly reports with sales market comments.





Specific requirements for the position:


Commercial knowledge and minimum 1-2
years of previous experience in a sales
position at freightforwarding REQUIRED
Owned means of transport REQUIRED
High proficiency in English speaking and writing
Ability to work independently
Strong drive and self motivation
Solutions focused initiative and creativity
Strong commercial focus
Ability to coordinate and manage many issues at once
Good working structure for execution and follow up
Strong service mentality
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Willing to travel on an occasional basis
