Responsibilities
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, phones and other equipment (fax, copier, video conference, etc.) of the company.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot third party and home grown software applications in use by employees of the company.
• Provide day to day support on computer systems (backup, SAV, Active Directory, and file server, Nortel VPN client, etc.)
• Work with international offices to troubleshoot IT related issues (WAN connectivity, home grown applications, etc.)
• Perform regular inventory and documentation work related to the IT infrastructure of the company.
• Monitor communication links of the company.
• Perform first level troubleshooting and analysis when communication links go down.
• Work with vendors to fix problems/issues with the IT infrastructure.
• Work on IT projects assigned by either the team lead or IT Manager.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Education / Experience
• Good working knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Good understanding of third party applications (Office, SAV, Adobe, Symantec, etc.).
• Good understanding of DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and other networking technologies.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
• Can work the night shift and weekends.
• Good troubleshooting skills are essential.
• Knowledge of Linux, Microsoft Exchange, Windows 2003, Active Directory, etc. is a plus.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• Have good work ethics and demonstrated ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Any IT certification is a plus (A+, MCSE, etc.).
