CapitalIQ, a Standard & Poor´s company is rapidly expanding its presence in Argentina. We are actively recruiting for the position of Payroll/Benefits Officer, who will report directly to the Office Director. The principal role of the Payroll/Benefits Officer is both to be responsible for the accurate presentation of the monthly office salaries to our third party payroll provider, and to act as a go-to resource for staff with questions about their payroll/benefits structure, whilst ensuring the company balances its desires with those of the syndicate and Argentine law.


Primary Responsibilities:

• To ensure that local payroll is completed in a timely and accurate manner with all monthly changes accurately presented and documented.

• Interact actively with the Office Director, S&P Argentina and our local representatives regarding any changes in local law or the Union agreements that may affect our staff.

• Interact in a professional manner with our Parent Company shared services operations in Mexico and our local third party payroll provider, providing concise and clear replies to questions.

• Take a leading role in the interpretation and explanation of payroll and benefits to the staff. Particularly, advancing changes that occur in a concise manner before they are implemented if possible.

• Take an active interest in the movements of the FAECYS Union and the interpretation of its collective agreements and their affects on local salaries

• Support the Office Director in the planning of salary grids, bonus structures, changes and improvements that may be required from time to time and the execution of those decisions.

• Maintain the highest degree of integrity when dealing with staff

• Needs to be able to act under tight deadlines

• Interact and support the local Management team, providing ideas and constructive criticism even in areas outside your direct control.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide an HR role that can evolve to meet the needs of Management and Staff alike. This can include but not be limited to; the development of internal talent, the explanation of internal and S&P guidelines, providing advice or acting as a confidant for complaints, aiding in the resolution of internal or employee/employer disputes, detecting potential problems and providing solutions.



Requirements:

• 7-years of experience in managing payroll of which at least 3-years have been in a large office (greater than 100 people).
• Experience in dealing with employee/employer relations and potential disputes.
• Fluent in written and oral English.
• Team player.
• Ability to act independently and take charge of a wide variety of issues.
• Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
• Ability to communicate with people at different levels of the organization, racial and social backgrounds
• Ability to relate and communicate with a highly diverse audience
• Ability to multi-task.
• Capacity to accept feedback constructively.
• Maintains high ethical standards both personally and professionally.
• High degree of empathy when problem solving.
