Legal Counsel – Regulatory Research & Compliance
Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina— On-site (Parque Patricios)
We are looking for a Legal Counsel specialized in regulation, licensing, and compliance to join our team in Buenos Aires. The main focus of this role will be researching and navigating the regulatory and licensing landscape across Buenos Aires and other Argentine provinces and across LATAM countries, specifically related to payments, financial compliance, Gambling, online operations, and any other licenses applicable to our business model.
What you’ll do
- Research regulatory, licensing, and compliance requirements for payments, financial services, fintech, and online operations.
- Create clear summaries and reports on what each province requires.
- Support the company in obtaining licenses and interacting with local authorities.
- Coordinate tasks with external legal providers.
- Stay up to date on regulatory changes and advise the team.
- Provide occasional support on employment contracts and internal policies.
- Collaboration with international team of lawyers in achieving cross border legal compliance.
What we’re looking for
- Law degree + license to practice in Argentina.
- Experience in financial regulation, payments, fintech, or compliance (big plus).
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Good communication and ability to follow up with external teams.
- Proactive, organized, and comfortable working independently.
- Excellent English (spoken and written).
