As a Sales Development Representative (SDR), you'll be the first spark of connection between independent gyms, boutique studios, and our platform. This role is purpose-built for a bold prospector who thrives in high-volume outbound—owning the Instagram DM and email channels to book qualified demos with gym and studio owners ready to grow their communities.

You're not waiting for leads to come to you—you're out there finding them. From scrolling Instagram to spot the next breakout spin studio, to crafting email sequences that cut through cluttered inboxes, you'll prove that the right message at the right time can turn a cold lead into an excited discovery call. Working closely with Partnership Managers and the growth team, you'll fill the top of the funnel with qualified opportunities and set the stage for partnerships that transform how fitness businesses operate.

Core responsibilitiesBe the movement: outbound prospecting
  • Own Instagram DM and email outbound as your primary channels, driving consistent demo volume for the gyms and studios segment

  • Research and identify independent gyms, boutique studios, and fitness businesses on Instagram, competitor platforms (ClassPass, Mindbody, Eventbrite), and curated lead lists

  • Execute multi-touch outreach sequences across Instagram and email, maintaining high activity levels (50–80+ daily touchpoints)

  • Personalize outreach based on each prospect's class types, community presence, location, and competitive positioning

  • Leverage company' key value propositions—100% free platform, unlimited funded advertising, dedicated Business Partner, 1M+ active users—to create urgency and interest

Think like a builder: lead qualification & handoff
  • Qualify prospects against company' qualification criteria, including projected annual GMV, current tool stack, and growth potential

  • Identify pain points related to ClassPass commission structures (40–60%), limited discovery, member retention challenges, and fragmented tech stacks

  • Book qualified discovery calls for Partnership Managers, ensuring prospects arrive informed and excited

  • Execute seamless handoffs with thorough notes on prospect context, pain points, competitive situation, and engagement history

  • Maintain accurate, real-time CRM records in Close, tracking all outreach activity, lead status, and pipeline progression

Lead with care: channel management
  • Manage multiple company Instagram accounts for outbound DM purposes, maintaining brand voice and professional tone across each account

  • Engage with target lead posts through likes, comments, and shares to build authentic relationships before direct outreach

  • Comment thoughtfully on prospect content to establish presence and credibility within the fitness community

  • Follow approved messaging templates while adapting language to feel authentic and conversational on each channel

  • Coordinate with the outbound partner team on lead status, response tracking, and handoff workflows

  • Monitor and respond to positive Instagram responses within 4 business hours, transitioning interested leads to Partnership Manager calendars

  • Track channel performance metrics and surface insights on what messaging, timing, and segments convert best

Relationship building & market intelligence
  • Develop pattern recognition for high-potential gym and studio prospects through social media activity, community engagement, and competitive signals

  • Surface market intelligence on competitor activity, emerging fitness trends, and territory-level insights to inform sales strategy

  • Contribute to sequence optimization by sharing what's working—subject lines, DM openers, objection patterns, and conversion triggers

  • Represent Sweatpals with the energy and authenticity that makes prospects feel seen, not sold to

Key performance indicators
  • Qualified demos completed per week/month

  • Outreach volume and response rates across Instagram DM and email

  • Demo show rate and conversion to opportunity

  • Pipeline value generated (qualified opportunities handed to Partnership Managers)

  • CRM hygiene and data accuracy

  • Channel-specific conversion metrics (DM positive response rate, email reply rate)


Requisitos:
  • Fluency in English is critical—this role requires excellent written and verbal English communication for all prospect interactions, CRM documentation, and internal collaboration

  • 1–3 years of experience in sales development, outbound prospecting, or a high-volume outreach role (SaaS, marketplace, or fitness/wellness industry preferred)

  • Proven ability to generate pipeline through cold outbound channels—email sequences, social selling, or direct messaging

  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to personalize at scale while maintaining brand voice

  • Experience using CRM tools (Close, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar) to manage leads and track activity

  • Comfort with high daily activity targets and a metrics-driven environment

  • Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple outreach sequences and follow-up cadences simultaneously

  • Genuine curiosity about the fitness and wellness industry

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience prospecting gym owners, studio operators, or fitness business decision-makers

  • Familiarity with Instagram as a B2B outreach channel

  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape including ClassPass, Mindbody, and similar platforms

  • Experience with outreach tools such as Apollo, Outreach, or similar sequencing platforms

  • Background in marketplace or two-sided platform businesses

  • Personal passion for fitness, community, or the "daylife" movement
